Foiling 101

What are metallic foils?

Metallic Foils are made from a thin layer of non-reactive metallic sheets that are fused to a clear cellophane sheet. These beautiful foils can be transferred to the surface of your choice with the help of our foil adhesives, as well using a heat setting with an iron (for fabrics). These foils allow you to control the amount of foil that is transferred, whether you want a full transfer or partial transfer.

What foil colors & designs do you have?

We have hundreds of different options! Our foils come in a wide variety of designs, colors, metallics, and holographs. If you don't see the color you are needing, please call and we will get it for you!

What is Foil Adhesive?

You will love ArtsSyVille Foil Adhesive; it only takes one coat - this alone will save you time and money. This adhesive is recommended for hard surfaces, hats, shoes, and purses. f you are working on a non-porous surface (i.e. hard plastic) the surface must be primed first. Foils will not transfer to a non-porous surface that has not been properly prepped.

Apply one coat using a brush or low-nap roller and allow to dry to a firm tack (approximately 1 to 2 hours - longer in high humidity areas - up to 24 hours for some projects) and apply your foil for a near flawless release. Soap and water clean-up.
